HEIC to JPG Converter
Convert iPhone HEIC photos to standard JPG that opens anywhere — Windows, the web, any app. No uploads, no signup; converted privately on your own device.
Why convert HEIC to JPG?
Since iOS 11, iPhones and iPads save photos as HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) to fit more pictures in less space. The catch: Windows, many websites, older apps, and most editors can't open HEIC. Converting to JPG gives you a universally-compatible file you can view, upload, email, or edit anywhere — while keeping great quality.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding happens entirely in your browser using the open-source libheif engine (compiled to WebAssembly). Your photo never leaves your device — there's no server, no account, and no tracking. You can even go offline after the page loads.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is Apple's container for HEIF images. It stores the same photo at roughly half the size of JPG, which is why iPhones use it — but that efficiency comes at the cost of compatibility outside the Apple ecosystem.
Will I lose quality?
JPG is lossy, so there's some compression, but at 90%+ the difference is hard to see. Keep the slider high if the photo matters; lower it only to shrink the file further.
Can I convert several HEIC photos at once?
This page converts one photo at a time. Batch conversion is on the way — for now, convert and download each one, or browse the main image tools.
